Thomas Rhett's Very Hot Summer Tour kicks off on Friday (May 17th) in Spokane, WA with special guests Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson and his dad, hit songwriter Rhett Akins. Thomas used to travel with his dad back in the 90’s when he was a touring artist, so Thomas tells us that getting to have his dad out on the road opening for him is kind of a full circle moment. “I’m just glad to have him out there. I think there’s a lot of people that are gonna come to the concert to see my dad, like a bunch of people that loved him in the 90s. They’re gonna get to come to the show to get to watch some of the 90s influence and get to, honestly, to be blown away by how many hits he’s written in this genre. And going from him to Russell Dickerson is going to be such a wild turn of events, and then to Dustin Lynch, and then to us. But I think it’s going to be a pretty well-rounded tour and I think people are going to walk away with a lot of different kind of vibes from the show.”
Opening weekend also includes a stop in Tacoma, WA.
Thomas' new album, Center Point Road, will be released on May 31st.
