Avengers: Endgame is expected to rock the box office next weekend, and reverberations of the Disney and Marvel presumed blockbuster are even being felt this week with Captain Marvel as fans rush to rewatch the 21 films in the Marvel Universe. Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is in its seventh weekend in theaters, and this Easter, it managed $9.1 million, a 6% rise from the $8.6 million in earned last weekend.
The extra push propelled it past $400 million domestically, making it the seventh Marvel film to achieve that feat.
Endgame, out next week, is expected to set new records with the biggest opener in box office history domestically and globally. The current crown belongs to predecessor Avengers: Infinity War, which opened with $640 million globally and $257.6 million in North America.
